  • 12 corn tortillas, fried crisp and formed into taco shaped shells or purchase pre-made taco shells (heated)
  • 1 lb. ground beef, crumbled and browned
  • ½ t. granulated garlic
  • ¼ t. onion powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1/8 t. whole comino seeds
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • ½ head chopped leafy green lettuce
  • 1 16 oz. jar MFNM Foods Taco and Dipping Salsa

DescriptionDescription  Traditional New Mexico Tacos
InstructionsInstructions  Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Fill prepared taco shells with ground beef mixture (approx. 2 T.) Top with 2 T. cheese mixture and place all tacos on cookie sheet. Heat in preheated oven until cheese melts. Place 2-3 tacos on each serving plate and garnish with chopped onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. Top with MFNM Foods Taco and Dipping Salsa. Delicious when served with cooked whole pinto beans and MFNM Foods Spicy Tostaditas. Optional serving suggestion: Use cooked, shredded and seasoned chicken breast in place of ground beef. Or for another savory choice…season, grill and cube a mild white fish fillet and garnish with lettuce, chopped tomatoes and chopped avocado.
